Here is how to unlock.
Whenever you want to unlock any modem, just
input the IMEI number of the modem into the
IMEI tab on the software and then click on
‘calculate code’. It will automatically generate
the ‘Unlock Code’ and ‘Flash Code’. Copy the 8
digit unlock code on a notepad. The next thing
to do is, insert any other network SIM card e.g.
Etisalat SIM into your modem e.g. MTN modem,
and plug in your modem into your PC USB port.
You will be asked to enter your unlock code
simply because you are using a different SIM
from the modem. Enter the unlock code that was
generated by the Huawei Modem Unlocker and
your modem will be unlocked automatically.
To browse the internet with that different SIM
e.g Etisalat SIM on MTN modem, you will need to
create a profile for Etisalat internet settings on
your MTN modem. To do this, click on ‘Tools’ ,
followed by ‘Options’, then click on ‘Profile
management’ and click on ‘ (new) ’. Input the
Etisalat internet settings as written below.

ETISALAT SETTINGS
Profile Name: Etisalat
APN: etisalat
Access Number: *99#
User Name and Password: You can leave them
blank (empty)
After typing in the settings above, click on ’save’
or ‘ok’. Go back to the initial page that comes up
when you click on the modem icon on your PC
desktop. Select the name you used in saving the
Etisalat settings, then click on connect. You
should be browsing with your Etisalat SIM on
MTN modem now.

Profile Name: GLO
Access Number: *99#

1. Take your phone out of water/pocket

Don’t lament about your phone that just drank water. What you
should do is to take it out of water or your pocket. Importantly,
don’t attempt to switch it on. This is to stop water from flowing
into the sensitive part of your phone.



2. Take out the removable parts

Take out the battery, sim card(s), the casing and other
removable parts. There is no need to remove any screw. Limit
yourself to only the detachable parts. Ensure that you take
caution not to allow water into the phone.



3. Don’t Blow it

This may completely condemn the phone. Don’t use a blow dryer
or blow air using your mouth into the phone. This would no doubt
cause adverse harm to your smartphone by scattering the water droplets inside.



4.Dry the phone

This is a very critical stage that would determine if you would
take your phone to a repairer or not. Dry your phone in the sun.
This is not saying that you should place it directly. Severe sun
rays may affect the Liquid Crystal Display Screen. It is, however,
worthy of note that many wet phones/devices would properly
function after drying.



5. Attempt to power it on

Your phone would be dried within an hour or even less. Assemble
the different parts you detach. Then try to power on your phone.
If it powers on, attempt to perform the normal activities like
making calls, surfing the internet, sending text messages and
other actions.



6. If your phone does not power on…

If your phone does not power on. Then you have to check if there
is still warranty on the phone. Most brand new devices usually
come with a one year warranty. That is why it is logical to
purchase new phones. This is another reason you should be very
conscious not to allow water get into the phone panel. This may
actually nullify your warranty. This may result in you paying more
to repair your phone or patronizing quacks.
